Terms & Privacy

Last updated: 23 July 2026

These terms explain how Flipt works, what data we collect, and your rights under UK GDPR. By creating an account or using Flipt, you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are & how to reach us

Flipt is operated by the app owner (the "data controller" under UK GDPR). Flipt is a reselling tracker that helps entry-level resellers track inventory costs, calculate platform fees, and manage profit margins across Vinted, eBay, and Depop.

To contact us about your data or this policy, email the app owner. If you have a concern about how your data is handled and aren't satisfied with our response, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

2. What data we collect

Account data: your email address and name (collected when you register, or via Google sign-in). Your role (admin or user) is stored to control access to advanced features.

Inventory data: the items you add — titles, photos, cost prices, purchase dates, target/selling prices, platform sold on, sale dates, postage costs, condition, notes, tags, box numbers and SKUs. This is the core data the app exists to store.

Integration credentials: if you connect an add-on (Sage Accounting, Parcel2Go, Vinted Pro, or eBay), we store the connection tokens/keys needed to sync data on your behalf. These are stored per-user and are only used to run the syncs you trigger.

Subscription data: your email and Wix subscription ID, plus your subscription status. Your card details are handled entirely by our payment provider (Wix Payments) — Flipt never sees or stores your card number.

Sync logs: when sales or postage charges are pushed to Sage, we keep a record (item title, sale date, amount, Sage invoice ID) so you can audit what was synced.

Settings data: the platform fee percentages and defaults you configure, used to calculate your profit.

Usage data: we may record anonymous analytics events (e.g. "item added", "subscription started") to understand how the app is used. No personal data is included in these events.

3. Why we use your data (legal basis)

Under UK GDPR we process your data on these legal bases:

  • Contract — to provide the Flipt service you signed up for (storing your inventory, calculating profits, syncing to your integrations).
  • Legitimate interests — to keep the service running and improving (analytics, security, preventing fraud, communicating with you about your account).
  • Legal obligation — where accounting records need to be retained for tax purposes.

4. Integrations & paid add-ons

Flipt is free to use — you can track inventory, use the sourcing calculator, and sync across devices at no cost. Flipt Pro (£10/month) adds profit analytics, platform fee breakdowns, and bulk editing tools.

The following integrations are optional add-ons. Each connects to a third-party service you already have an account with, and syncs data only when you trigger it:

  • Sage Accounting sync — pushes your sales as invoices to Sage. Optional add-on.
  • Parcel2Go sync — pulls your real postage charges and posts them to Sage. Optional add-on.
  • Vinted Pro sync — auto-marks your Flipt items as sold when they sell on Vinted. Optional add-on (admin-managed).
  • eBay sync — imports your active eBay listings into Flipt and enriches photos. Paid add-on.

When you connect an add-on, your credentials are stored per-user and used solely to run the syncs you request. You can disconnect any add-on at any time from Settings, which deletes the stored credentials.

5. Subscription & billing

Flipt is free to use. Flipt Pro is £10/month with a 14-day free trial — you won't be charged during the trial, and the first payment is taken 14 days after you subscribe. Payments are processed by Wix Payments.

You can cancel anytime from the Billing page. Cancelling turns off auto-renewal immediately; you keep access until the end of your current billing period and no further charges are made. If you cancel during your free trial, you are never charged.

6. Who we share your data with

We only share your data with these third parties, and only as needed to run the service:

  • Base44 — the platform that hosts the app, database, and authentication.
  • Wix Payments — processes subscription payments (card data only, never stored by Flipt).
  • Sage Accounting — receives sales/postage invoices you choose to sync (add-on).
  • Parcel2Go — reads your order data to post real postage charges to Sage (add-on).
  • eBay — reads your active listings to import into Flipt (paid add-on).
  • Vinted Pro — reads your orders to auto-mark items as sold (add-on).
  • Google — provides the "Sign in with Google" option if you use it.

We never sell your data. We do not use your inventory or financial data for advertising.

7. How long we keep your data

  • Inventory & account data — kept for as long as your account is active. Deleted when you delete your account.
  • Integration credentials — deleted immediately when you disconnect an add-on.
  • Sync logs — retained as an audit trail of what was posted to Sage, since these mirror accounting records.
  • Subscription records — retained for as long as needed to manage your billing, then deleted or anonymised.

8. Your UK GDPR rights

You have the following rights over your personal data:

  • Access — ask what data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restriction — ask us to limit processing in certain circumstances.
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (use the CSV export in Inventory).
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email the app owner. We respond within one month.

9. International data transfers

Some of our third parties (Base44, Google, eBay) may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the provider's Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Cookies

Flipt uses essential session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. No cookie-based consent is needed because only strictly necessary cookies are used.

11. Security

Your data is stored securely on the Base44 platform. Integration credentials and API keys are stored in encrypted app secrets or per-user database records protected by row-level security. Access to your data is restricted to you — other users cannot see your inventory or financial data.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We'll update the "last updated" date above and notify you of material changes via the app or your registered email.
